Greenfix root ball mat was developed to enable an all year supply of trees and bushes of certain container strains. The root ball mat consists of two layers of natural fibres with a biomembrane in between. It is permeable by air and water, and retains sufficient moisture in the root ball due to its unique fibre/membrane structure to prevent drying.
The cost-effective and plant-friendly Greenfix jute fabric method replaces the extra steps of the currently used method, such as taking plants out of the ground, potting, wrapping for transport, and taking the plant out of the container before planting.
The outer layer of the mat is 100% unprocessed coir fibre with a biomembrane in the middle and a jute mesh inside. Appropriate lifespan is approximately 24 months.
The roll size for the root ball mat is 40 m, four different widths available: 0.6 m, 0.8 m, 1.2 m, and 2.4 m.
Root ball liner consists of square pieces cut out of the root ball mat, available sizes 60 x 60 cm, 80 x 80 cm, and 120 x 120 cm.
